Based on the other two reviews I was a little hesitant to order but the smell isn't bad. If you get really close it smells pretty strongly of printer ink - which makes sense given how saturated the color is. I'm letting them air out but they should be smell free after a day or two. A low price to pay for how gorgeous these are!!

Very pretty color tissue paper...BUT THAT SMELL!!! Yowch! This paper is likely not appropriate for gifts.... Perhaps I'll try airing it out??? Not even sure how to do that with a delicate paper product like this! Smells like bad chemicals. Would ruin a gift.

This pack includes 100 sheets of ocean-themed tissue paper (approximately 19.5" x 13.75" each). As expected with most tissue paper, the design is printed on one side and lightly bleeds through to the back. While the patterns are lovely, the major downside is the extremely strong chemical smell upon opening the package. It’s so intense that I wash my hands after handling it. The smell may fade over time, but I’d be hesitant to use this for children’s crafts or as part of a gift presentation. A visually nice product, but the odor is a concern as I don't know what chemicals were used in creating this paper.
