Great Color, nice thickness, feels quality for a scarf with a looser weave. I wish it was a little longer, to do that move where you loop the ends through the middle (like Sherlock Holmes). You can still do it, but then the two ends are pretty short. For the price, it is a great buy for an everyday (well, 3 months a year) wool scarf. Will be in my wardrobe for years!

This scarf isn't your traditional wool felt, instead being knit from wool yarn. It's basically a tube that's closed off at both ends, so you get two layers. This should hold up a bit better than a felted scarf, but isn't quite as warm.It also doesn't do much for the wind. That does mean you can have it over your face and breathe very easily, though. It's a tradeoff, and you get to decide which is better for you.Looking under a microscope, the fibers were all uniform and have the 'scaly' appearance that wool should. I didn't see anything that looked like synthetic fibers. It also has that scratchy feel at first, although thankfully it diminishes as the scarf breaks in. It's definitely not merino (nor is it advertised to be), so expect some roughness.I couldn't find any defects in the knit, and stitching on each end is as clean as you could reasonably get. Color is uniform.Care instructions state, "Dry clean or handwash gently in lukewarm suds. Do not twist or wring. Dry on flat surface away from heat. Do not tumble dry." Pretty standard stuff for wool.I'm pretty happy with this scarf overall. It is a little expensive compared to very similar (if not identical) competition. Quality is pretty high, though, and it's a good size.

The scarf is the correct size, correct color, and 100% wool, but the labeling and packaging doesn't match the advertisement. It does provide reasonable warmth.

Over the last few months I've tried various scarves from overseas manufacturers.Anything you get for this price point from these companies is going to be made of polyester. I've tried all kinds of polyester scarves: smooth ones, soft ones, even "furry" ones. They all feel awful—no matter how you try to dress up plastic, it's still plastic. I can't stand the artificial slick feeling of polyester, and while it might feel warm on your skin at first, it quickly becomes suffocating. This scarf is a breath of fresh air in many ways. First of all, it's made of 100% wool. It feels smooth and not scratchy, the craftsmanship is excellent, and it's slightly stretchy, allowing it to breathe while still comfortable and very warm.It measures about 5 feet by 10 inches, so it wraps around your neck nicely and stays there.I never heard of this brand before but based on the product description I assume they're a contractor for the government that's decided to sell some of their inventory to the public. Because the government mandates that products are made in the USA, these products from government contractors ironically have become some of the among the best you can buy value-wise. Some large companies choose to open separate facilities—domestic ones to produce things for the government, and overseas ones to dump substandard mass-produced ones to consumers. I'm glad this company is keeping things made in the USA. This is now my go-to scarf and all the plastic garbage I got is going into the trash.

I was surprised at the texture of this scarf. It feels like a very thick waffle insulated shirt, but softer. I was expecting something a little fuzzier, but I find that I like this a lot better than any other scarf I own. It's so comfortable that more than once, I forgot to take it off while hanging up my coat, only to realize later that I was still wearing it! And the color is almost black, but not quite, which is just the way I like my navy blue. I'll be retiring my other scarves, now that I have this one.

Failed the burn test, its not 100% wool as claimed on the label. See attached photo. This is a wool blend so there is a lot of plastic fiber being covered by wool. No good.

I've only gotten to use it once since getting it, but it definitely did the job. We had an extremely cold weekend for Florida right after getting this and I broke it out for my daily hike. It did an awesome job of keeping my neck and shoulders warm, cutting the cold wind's chance of chilling me completely out of the picture!

VERY nice quality. The scarf is a nice thickness and the choice of the weave helps keep warmth in without having to wrap it around your neck several times.Though it is long enough to easily wrap all the way around in a typical sense, even for my large neck, which is harder to find than you think. The olive greenish color we requested is GREAT too, goes with almost anything.
