The metal around this sensor was completely burnt away after 7 months of use and the sensor failed. See pics. There are some marks on the unit where I tried to use plyers to turn the sensor. No luck. I purchased a new one and installed it yesterday. I removed 2 coils from the inside of wire nuts. I screwed these coils around the top of the sensor to hopefully keep this from happening on the new unit. I'm already seeing the metal getting red just below the coil. I might need to screw the coils further down or add some heavy tin foil. The flame seems to burn to hot and destroys the sensor. Recommend getting an OEM part if you can find one. Also the striker was not working to light the new one. I had to use a grill lighter.

Came with LP orifice installed. NG orifice in bag with it. No instructions. Had to remove orifice located in the triple gas outlet tower and switch. LP orifice had hole in a stainless steel insert in orifice. NG orifice was entirely brass.

My gas fireplace has needed a rebuild for the past 3 seasons but I never could get myself to spend the amount of money that was being charged per item. That is until I found this high quality and extremely affordable complete replacement kit.I couldn’t believe that I’d been this fortunate to have found the one that I actually needed and fit perfectly in my 22 year old Home Hearth fireplace. For what every other vendor including manufacturer wanted, I could have bought 15 of these and that’s a lowball. This replacement even included the striker !Thank you and thank you Amazon

Took about 2 hours to install, had to totally break down the bottom of the stove, easily accomplished because it is put together with sheet metal screws. I ordered and put high temperature silicone between where the wires and copper go through the sheet metal, works great. Our unit is 18 years old, first time we have had to work on it other than cleaning the thermal couple tip. Very happy our fireplace is going again.UPDATE: I had to slightly bend the thermocouple tip so it was within the blue pilot flame, worked great after that.

I install it on LENNOX L30 fireplace. ( you can add LENNOX to list ) In my fireplace I have very strong draft, Pilot flame was little short. I make opening in orifice little bigger (with needle) and adjust flame size on gas valve. Work perfect. Original pilot assembly cost 200-300$ !!!

My fireplace wouldn’t light and the problem turned out to be the thermopile. This unit was the solution. Installing it takes time and patience, but if you’re fairly handy, you can do it! Take a picture of the ceramic logs before you disturb them so you can put them back. Take pictures of the old burner assembly and all connections in case you need them for the new unit. You’ll likely need a tube of red high temperature sealer. Good product, good price, good luck!

So this part fit my fireplace, and worked perfectly. I wish it came with a small tube of the red silicone Fire barrier sealant that is needed to seal the open spaces between the firebox & the electrical components underneath after installing this item. Had to make another trip to the store to buy a full size tube of that specialty sealant, but a tiny one ounce tube included in this kit would have been absolutely perfect. Just something to be aware of when buying this item, you'll also need to seperately purchase the red heat barrier sealant to finish the job.

Aftermarket . The head of the Wadoy pilot assembly is much taller than the OEM 10002264 and after trying to install it found that the log set was sitting on top of of pilot head because it's to tall. Could not safely use.
