Tried trimming to force the fit but was a poor fit and did not stay as I had to remove all of the fins to get it in the 3/4 inch ID tube. They are also a bit shorter than expected which probably compounded the issues I faced. Probably good for 1" steel, for the 1" 10GA Aluminum square tubing I had this does not work.

Used these to replace chair leg glides. Chairs are a "church style" with 1" O.D. square tube frame. These plastic inserts fit great, and were easy to install with a rubber mallet. Chairs are used multiple times a day, by teenage boys. Also the chairs are used on a smooth concrete floor. They would probably hold up fine in a residential setting, but only lasted about six months for my needs. However, I am back here to buy them again, since I can't seem to find anything better at this time.
