These are dimensionally repeatable, good workmanship. The threads don't bind the bolt, very easy turning. Stainless steel might have been nice, in case i wanted to use them on composite material in wet zones, but my intent is to use them for furniture, so didn't need stainless, and stainless steel has a tendency to bind anyway. The product description could have used a bit better dimensioning data, so here's some data that might help. Use 3/4" forstner bit to inset the washer, 1/16" depth. Next, drill 5/16 jobber to make clearance for the barrel, 0.31" depth, the barrel is 5/16" in both diameter and height. Finally drill through with 1/4" bit for the bolt. That should do it. Easiest way to make sure all align is to use the bolt itself to draw the insert into the wood, then finish it with the hammer.

These are made very well for what they are and I expect to get a lot of projects done with these. I think they are a great value and very functional. I like that you can attach them by pressing them into your projects or draw them tight by fastening them with the bolts. I like pressing them when that option is available just in case the teeth want to bend while using these in harder materials.I am very happy with this product and highly recommend it 😎Helpful? I hope so✔️ Thanks!

When really strong joints are needed, you can beat threaded inserts and bolts. The shop is stocked with different length 1/4 bolts to assemble DIY projects. The most dramatic application from the shop has been a wheeled music cart for an acoustic keyboard, an amplifier and a speaker array that is 48" x 18"w x 32"h containing 38 bolted joints using these threaded inserts. The assembly withstood 150 trips into a van and across rough terrain. That proof has made the embedded inserts the backbone of a range of assemblies. It's a 5-star shop stock item.

These work perfectly. They made my project so much easier and the finished product doesn't have the nut sticking out on the back side. Definitely recommend these.

While I haven’t checked all 100, the couple that I took out and tried/tested all worked well and as expected, and some 1/4”-20 machine screws that I had laying around threaded in nicely. No complaints so far!

I have always built my own woodworking jigs out of scrap wood, scrap metal and standard hardware. Plastic jigs with proprietary hardware that can only be purchased from a company just don't do it for me. Anyway, T-Nuts like these are indispensable for making jigs. You can install as many as you need in as many locations as you want. I typically purchase T-nuts that take 1/4-20 threads so that I can also make homegrown camera and music accessories. 1/4-20 is a standard thread for those kinds of equipment. Sticking to that size, means that you can also utilize some very adjustable camera clamping devices in jigs that you make. Pictured is a hex bolt inserted in a T-Nut but you can also insert threaded rod. Using thumb screws or wing nuts allows you to hand tighten your jigs without the need for a wrench. This pack of 100 T-Nuts will make lots of jigs. The nuts are reusable. They can be carefully pried out if you decide you no longer have use for the jig you made. The prongs are to keep the nuts from turning. These are very good quality stainless steel T-Nuts. They are rust resistant. There are also carbon steel T-Nuts. I have a few left. They've rusted just from the ambient moisture in the air.

These 1/4"-20 T-Nuts are a great addition to any woodworking or DIY project. The zinc-plated steel construction ensures durability and corrosion resistance, making them ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. The 4-pronged tee nut design provides a secure hold when inserting into wood, rock climbing holds, or even cabinetry and furniture. Installation is simple—just drill a hole, insert the nut, and hammer it into place for a solid fit. With 100 pieces in the pack, these T-Nuts offer great value for any project requiring strong and reliable wood-to-metal connections.

These T-nuts are extremely well-made and consistent in dimensions, making furniture assembly a breeze. The threads turn smoothly without any binding, and they securely embed into wood, providing strong, invisible joints. Installation is straightforward, especially when using the included bolts to ensure alignment. They've significantly improved my DIY projects by eliminating protruding nuts, resulting in a clean, professional appearance. Excellent value and highly recommended for anyone who wants durable, reliable fasteners!
