This is a nice spring hose clamp set that came with pliers for installation. Everything works well. The clamps fit snugly into the pliers, and squeezing the pliers will expand the clamp for easy installation. The pliers automatically hold the clamp open until it's where you want it and then a simple squeeze on the release lever will release the clamp, and the pliers can be removed and ready for the next job. Several sizes of clamps are included and came in a nice partitioned storage box to keep them organized. I wrapped a piece of painters tape around the box and pliers to keep them together until needed. The price is reasonable and this is a very handy addition to my home shop.

Great kit of many different size hose clamps which will come in handy for my cars, boat, and motorcycle, plus house appliances! I really like the set of hose-clamp pliers as they make placing and/or removing clamps very easy. And with the ratchet function you can remove a clamp, set it aside still opened, replace your hose, then slip the clamp back into place and release it!

This hose clamp assortment has most of the sizes needed for automotive work. This type of clamp does tend to lose its clamping force over time, so having these on hand to fix leaks is nice. These are clamps are sometimes the only ones you can fit on a hose because of the tight space available. The set comes with some pliers for installation and removal. They're decent pliers, but I would have liked for them to have a spring to open them. As it is, it feels a bit cumbersome to operate the pliers - it makes it a two handed operation.

I used this recently to install a PTFE downline inside my fuel cell, reaching in from an odd access hole. The tool really shined with it's ability to ratchet down on the hose clamp and grip it just right so you can slide the clamp up the hose from a tight spot. I was pretty much able to use it by feel. I like that the ratchet release lever was just where I needed it to be when using in a tight space. The clamps look just as good as any bulk kit, but I'm so glad I have a proper tool for this style clamp now. I used to try and use channel locks, vice grips or even needle nose pliers....Usually the clamp would go flying off or get lost in the engine bay. The tool that comes with this kit has a swivel end and allows you to manipulate the clamp along the hose really well.For the trouble and time this tool is going to save me, I'd say it's well worth it.

Ordered this product to save time and money on car repair projects. For a few years I'd buy hose clamps as needed for triple the price, and use needle nose pliers to install them. Not ideal. This set arrived promptly and packed securely. The kit comes in a compartmentalized case, with clamps organized by size (see pic 2). The clamps themselves are very rigid, with great quality and even finish across all sizes. This kit also comes with specialized pliers, that has ends specifically designed to hold the clamps without slipping off, unlike needle nose pliers (see pic 3). Additionally, the pliers have a lock bar that will hold them at any given level of compression, which is great when you need to slide a clamp up or down a rubber hose without it closing. Overall, I strongly recommend this kit, even at a higher price point, due to the time and money savings, especially due to the great functionality of the pliers.

I originally bought these for the clamps, and so far they have worked great and held hoses appropriately. So nice to have a variety of common sizes as well, and this is silly and minor but I have always preferred blacked out hardware looks wise to anything else (especially the Wisconsin special- Rust brown). When I ordered these, the pliers were just seen as a nice bonus, however I've quickly fallen in love with having a dedicated set of expansion clamp pliers. I have always just used something like wide linemens pliers for these sorts of clamps, but so far these pliers have made things much smoother.

Being the auto industry this is a must have as many snap rings will break when trying to remove them and not having the right tool will lead to several curses being spouted at the vehicle.The pliers worked well and held strong to the snap rings with minimal slippage however the hose was coated in coolant so that's a likely culprit as to any slippage.The variable sizes came in handy when I needed to replace one.This is an outstanding value and I would highly suggest this product not only for auto mechanics but for anything you can think of that would benefit or be more secured with a snap ring over it vs something else.
