Small fish like to show off and prove they can swim and eat with the big dogs. They get hungry and they get greedy and they suck it down in that little mouth. Thats where the long shank comes in and let you grab holt and get it out of their tiny mouth.These hooks hold worms and crickets perfectly and when you get snagged, they'll bend so you don't lose your whole rig and the bluegill will thank you when you can throw them back with no metal in their jaw.

The price of made-in-USA fish hooks with Long Shanks has gone through the roof, so I took a chance on these "Imported" hooks. I am favorably impressed -- the number of hooks in the Bulk Pack was spot on, & the hooks were very sharp. I was worried that they might break after getting bent and then re-straightened -- they hold up to normal abuse just fine. I have caught several fish that were quite a bit larger than I was expecting to hook into, & these hooks got the job done. No regrets here.

These hooks are durable and good fir most pan fish. I use them for crappie,bluegill ,Shellcracker and bass. The long shank helps prevent the sunfish from swallowing them.

Hard for me to find my long shaft cricket hooks locally so I found these. Great price for quantity and they are really well made. Although they are just a tee tiny shorter then the ones i usually get, I feel they are stronger and sharper and I feel I hook more fish with these. They also last longer then my regular brand from having to pull out with needle nose pliers over and over again and I feel get sharper over time rather than dull.

The picture of the product is deceiving... I should have paid more attentions to dimensions before I ordered. If a blue gill swallows the hook, it is still hard to remove it due to the short shank.
