EASY TO OPERATE
- Take the right front wheel and the wheelhouse liner out. Then remove the AC bracket right here.
- Grab this tab and slide the rip cord, the tension gets loosened.
- Put the 1016 Serpentine Belt Tool on the forged nut and turn it clockwise (need to insert a pin to hold it open).
- And then you can take out the old serpentine belt and install the new one according to the removal steps.

- Each set comes with one small 12pt and one big 12pt wrench (24mm / 34mm).

Just so you know... this tool is perfect ... sort of. It fit perfectly on my car's tensioner, and should have worked.BUTIn the case of my car, it was of just the wrong angle to be useless. While it went on the tensioner nut, it could not unload the tensioner to the point where it would let me put in the pin to 'unload' it. Ultimately, I found that a cheap crescent wrench worked fine. Would have used this if it worked, but had to hack it cause the blown head gasket couldn't wait.This shouldn't be everyone's issue, but for me it was a deal breaker. I do think that most should know that on a naturally aspirated mini, this thing is probably unnecessary. Perhaps on other models with less Clarance. But on my base model, it was easier with a cheap wrench than with this.
