This was the perfect retro-fit light to replace my old fixtures. Easy to install and the light is really bright which is what I need for my dark basement.. The price is so great I wish I would have discovered these sooner.

I had a couple of can lights in a bathroom which weren't doing the job. Put in four of these and wow, I've got light. Fairly easy to install. Template is included but a tight fit for the "ears", so you might need to shave a bit off your drywall right there. No big deal. Only problem is no strain relief is included, make certain to get some in the electrical department (ask for strain relief cable clamps). Hoping that these hold up, but as a back up I bought an extra box so I have replacements.

Love the slimline design as it sits perfectly flush, keeping bugs out of the fixture when used in an exterior application. It gives off quite bright light, which would be great inside; however, for outside use, I wish it was available with a less luminous output.

The 'daylight' temperature is really quite good, unlike some products that claim to be in that temperature range. This lamp is quite thin, quite easy to work with, and doesn't overheat. We use it as a replacement for a much more expensive 'sunlight lamp' that produces a very similar light, although not quite as much of it. Really, the reason we abandoned the major brand of sunlight lamp wasn't even the cost; it's that they switched to iPhone-style controls, and the lamps no longer work with outlet timers and don't have decent timer functions built in.This lamp has a very beefy wiring box (with LED driver transformer) on a short quick connect cord. If you want to hang it on a wall, like we did, instead of putting it inside a ceiling opening, you'll have to do something with the transformer box.

This install was a refit over our front bathroom commode to replace a bathroom vent light combo. The vent is being moved. This unit has 4 really tight locking latches to keep it in place. An excellent plastic template came with the unit. Use it as there is very little tolerance. In fact, cutting the drywall and sanding a couple of the latch areas was the most difficult and time consuming part. Wiring took maybe 5-7 minutes. The unit is extremely light so no worry about weight on the drywall. I am using the daylight setting and installed a Leviton Decora + Rocker Dimmer with Slide Bar (DSL96-1TW). Dims and works perfectly. I purchased this unit as a “Like New” second life. I saved a few dollars and to me, looked like new and was new. In summary, 4 excellent latches, good value, has a template, J-box has quick connect connections, and dimmable.

Bought these to replace the traditional square can lights in my basement, where the diffuser seemed to be holding back the fixtures's performance. I was impressed with the design -- it's nice and clean, seems solid and well made, and thin. The clips and bevels are molded in such a way that the fixture is likely to fit various thicknesses of ceilings and has a pretty wide tolerance for the size of the hole itself. The junction box has 4 knockouts so you can choose the one(s) that make the most sense for which way your wires are coming from and you want them to bend. There is a quick connect between the LED driver and the light itself, so you can install the wiring without the light dangling in the way, then connect it when ready to fit it to the ceiling.They are as bright as advertised at the 4000K setting. I measured about 600 lux at 1 meter, which works out to the advertised 1920lm if the beam angle were 120 degrees. I estimated the beam angle to be about 110 degrees, but it's a soft edge, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. The other color temperatures have a slightly reduced output, not surprising as warm or cool LEDs need to be dimmed to achieve a different ratio. Based on my measurements, expect the 2700K setting to be about 84% brightness, 3000K is around 91%, 3500K is around 98%, and 5000K is around 97%. I am personally using the 4000K setting anyway, not because it is the brightest, but because the color looks most pleasing in my workspace. The mixing of warm/cool LEDs probably gives the highest CRI at this setting, but I don't have the equipment to measure that.Overall I don't have anything to critique about these. In the photo, the light on the right is the new one, and on the left is the traditional one. After being on for a few hours, the diffuser still is cool to the touch, and the metal frame is slightly warm. Now I just hope they last a good long time.

We had some large square fixtures in our basement and surprised to find these to fit perfectly in the holes which were just under 12” square. Easy install and nice to have a few colour options
