This pin extractor does not work well on ATX connectors. I tried with three different power supplies and was not able to extract even one pin. The prongs are not sturdy enough to fully collapse the locking tabs on the pins. I used my lighted 30x inspection glass to verify the prongs are placed correctly over the pin. It just can’t apply enough force to fully close the tabs.

This does not work to extract the pins on an ATX 24 pin cable. It will not go in far enough to depress the tabs holding the pins in. I was able to remove the pins easily with a different set of tools (Terminal Removal Tool Kit).

Worked good. The included tape adds comfort and grip.

This tool is designed for only one purpose, which is to remove the contact pins (both male and female) from ATX-type computer power supply connectors. This tool certainly works - but it does require some "finesse" and it is advised you watch one or two "how to" videos to learn how it should be used.My reason for only awarding 4 stars - considering the materials and workmanship required to manufacture this tool, the $40 cost is high.
