This pump has been great. It self primes and does what it is supposed to. I use it for transferring heating diesel from a 55 gal barrel to a 300 gal tank.

Came in mail and hooked it all up and didn't even work so I returned it and they made me pay shipping not worth the time or money do not buy this product because if it don't work you have to pay over $20 for shipping and it's not your fault

Pumped old diesel fuel tanks without issue. Pumped hydraulic fluid and motor oils slower but without issue really. Thick fluids, like gear oil, it won't pull through. Did what we needed it to do. It will shut off if it's overworked, but always turned back on after about a minute. Ran it off a generator.

So I ordered this pump to add to my 1000 gallon Red Diesel tank just to make fueling the tractors and farm trucks easier. Spent alot of time plumbing this in and pulling electrical to the tank to run the pump. Got it all connected up and hit the switch the pump started up all right and was pumping fuel. Seemed to work great. Turned the pump off and then tried it again this time however the motor started to turn but very slowely and would not get up to speed. Only after I pulled the handle on the gas pump to deliver fuel out the nozzel after about 15 seconds it would finally spin up to full speed and then would stay running. Well I tried this several more times and pretty much the same thing every time. Near as I could tell it seems as though when the pump was turned off there is residule pressure in the line on the high pressure side and the starting windings of the motor does not have enough power to get over this resistance so the motor does not get up to full speed. I think if I continued to use it this way the motor woudl have eventually burned out due to the heavy load on the starting windings. I also noticed there was a rattling in the electircal box on the top of the pump I did not bother to open it up and see what it was inside. I sent this right back and ended up buying a cheaper pump by blackhorse here on amazon that is larger in size and the motor works great. This pump did pump fuel though no doubt about it, and it is pretty noisy. If you were just using it to transfer fuel without a fueling nozzel and it was just passive transfer It would work fine. BUt if you want an auto shutoff fuel nozzel on the end like a commercial gas pump has, this thing does not seem to have the stones to start under pressure id look for another option.

I have a 100 gallon diesel tank for my tractor. When my regular style pump went out I decided to try this pump.Even not being a direct replacement I was able to connect to my existing inlet and outlet piping pretty easy.Pump worked Great. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because of the thread type in the pump and the quality of the adapter fittings. The housing should just be NPT. Getting pipe fittings then is a no brainer.I had to chase the NPT threads on one of them and the O-Ring leaked on the other.Still Great Pump for the Money.
