I was struggling to install this spring to my gate. It didn't close on my first try, it took awhile to figure out the right angle to make it work. Part of the mproblem is my gate is kind of sagging. You will need to make sure your gate can open and close freely for this spring to work. The spring itself is very sturdy and seems to last for a long time. i would recommend this spring.

Worked like a charm. Similar to what you find a your local home improvement stores but less cost. I will not this has 2 screw holes where I've only seen 1 on local hardware. Better to have the extra screw to secure your hardware in place. If I could recommend anything, you may want to consider going the next length up. This 11 inch was a bit of a tight fit for our application. Comes with all necessary hardware to connect and adjust. Great price to boot.
