Great value for money. Holds were shipped in three different shipments. The variety was greater than I expected and I'm looking forward to completing my diy wall for my son. Would buy again

I purchased the holds without hardware as my surface is one inch plywood – I wasn’t certain that the 1.75 bolts offered by the vendor would fully connect to the T-Nut. The holds came in three separate boxes spread over about a week. I contacted the vendor when I received the first box. I received an immediate reply (on a Sunday yet) and an approximate timeline. Some have commented on a strong chemical smell from the holds, I didn’t have that. As to color and size: The holds are various shades of gray that remind me of basalt, they look and feel like real rock – a bit rough and nothing like plastic. As others have noted, the size varies from a bit smaller than a baseball to larger than a softball. A few are bigger than my widespread hand. I’ve attached some photos. I’ve been so impressed with the vendor and the holds, I have ordered another 50.As to assembly, I used a one-half inch drill bit to drill the bolt holes (you may want to try a 7/16 first for a snugger T-Nut fit). The reverse side of the holes were faced with hammer driven-in T-Nuts (Driftless Climbing Bolts for Rock Climbing Holds-Indoor 3/8-16 Socket Cap Screw (2.5 inch)). The bolts I used were 3/8"-16 T-Nuts 100pc by Bolt Dropper, Pronged Tee Nut. for Wood, Rock Climbing Holds, Cabinetry (3/8"-16 x 7/16", (100 Pack), Zinc Plated Steel). Both the T-Nuts and the bolts are on Amazon. (BTW, I would have preferred 2 inch bolts but I couldn’t find any at a reasonable price.)I would recommend than you plan for 35-45 holes approximately 6-7 inches apart per 4X8 sheet of plywood. After a while you’re going to want to move your holds around hence my buying the extra T-Nuts and bolts. Yep, it’s wise to have more T-Nut backed holes than you have holds.A couple of mistakes: 1) Some of the T-Nuts went in off center as a result of my contorted hammering. This led in turn to bolts not fully seating or to the T-Nut spinning and not adhering to the plywood surface. 2) I didn’t test the T-Nuts for a firm seat before I started attaching the holds – see the above. 3) I drilled more holes than I have T-Nuts. Yep, you know where I’m going with this. 4) If drilling inside, be prepared for a lot of sawdust – a lot of sawdust. Have a shop-vac handy. As my climbing wall is inside a garage bay, I can’t comment on outdoor usage. Overall, I’m impressed with the vendor, customer support, and the holds themselves. Rock climbing holds that actually look like rocks! I’ll post some additional photos of my climbing wall once I install more T-Nuts and the additional holds that I ordered.

These are great holds for a great price. I needed a lot for a new backyard wall I recently built with mostly overhung surfaces. These are perfect for my set-up. They also came with bolts and t-nuts and I love that they are made from recycled materials. Great customer service as well!

I built a Rockwall in my garage. These were the cheapest holds I could find on the internet. I'm not much of a rock climber, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I've been pleases with the holds. They arrived in three shipments in a reasonable time. I've been climbing on them for a few months now. They've held up to my 215 lbs body well. I think the texture is a little rough, but I'm not complaining. I haven't had any skin issues yet. The package I ordered had a good variety of sizes of holds. Many of them can be turned different ways to make the hold have a different feel. All in all, I got a lot of holds for a pretty solid price. I haven't had any issues with them. There hassle been one so far that the hole wasn't perfectly straight, but I'm not going to complain considering the overall value.Would I recommend this to someone making their own home use Woody? Yes. No regrets. I can climb whenever I want to, at my own house. And I won't run out of variety for a long time.
