Purpose:I have several different devices and tools to do maintenance on my pool cue tips, and keeping track of all of those is kind of a pain. I bought this in hopes that I could have an all-in-one tool that will do it all.Good Qualities:• This all-in-one tool allows you to shape the cue tip into just about any shape you want. It has a few pre-made arcs that you can use, or you can manually reshape the tip based on your individual needs and wants.• It comes with the tools that you need to prepare and completely replace the barrel sleeve and cue tip, including tape, scissors, and extra blades.• It comes with a handy little instruction card for those that are not familiar with cue tip maintenance.Concerns / Complaints:• It is small enough to put in your front pocket, but I would be discouraged since there is an exposed blade on one side that you easily slice your finger open if you aren’t paying attention when you reach into your pocket. It would be nice if it came with a sleeve or guard that would cover that blade when not actively being used.The Verdict:I really don’t have a need to change tips that often, but I do rough-up and shape the tips regularly. While I think this would be useful for more novice players, I cannot get over the exposed blade which is a safety issue, and the last thing I want is to cut a finger on an exposed blade that has who-knows-what on it from being in a pocket or case. I am going straight down the middle with 3 stars for this device.

Nice complete kit with which to keep your cues in league readiness shape. Comes with shapers, scissors, sanders, collars and tape. Replace a tip in moments, or just polish up your felt during a game. I gave it one star off, because I believe in keeping my items together, and in this instance I believe a small container would only improve this item. However, that said, any pool shooter's cue-case will have ample space to hold these items as it is a nicely compact set of useful tools.

The set arrived with all items listed. The chalk is simply in a plastic bag & it’s a blue chalky mess. Unfortunately I missed that it didn’t include replacement tips. I don’t know why you’d need replacement ferrules only. The trimming tool should be stored out of a child’s reach for sure! It also didn’t come with any glue which for the price I think should be included along with replacement tips. We can make it work but will also need to purchase replacement tips & glue. Overall there are other sets that have replacement tips, glue, & a carrying case at same price point.

This is a super handy set with a ton of pieces to it, actually a great value, especially at this price point. I think you can fix or reset all of your tips with the stuff here. Seems durable, not sure how you would wreck it, other than maybe gumming up the razor blades - which you can easily clean with rubbing alcohol

Has everything necessary to remove/replace worn cue tips and shape new tips. But it lacks tips and glue which would make it a repair kit.Note: The shaper's blade is exposed enough it could cut a finger tip.
