Gickbusus 11PCS Universal Clutch Alignment Tool Kit with 3 Spindles with Expanding Mandrel and 8 Pilot Adapters, Precision Clutch Centering Tool Set for Accurate Disc Alignment. This arrived very quickly after ordering. My husband is very happy to have this even though he is not needing to do any clutches right now. But he said that having this would make doing it much easier than the last time he had to do a clutch. He feels that this seems to be a good quality kit that should last quite a while and and function in such a way to make a clutch installation easier. We are happy with our order.

The expanding mandrells in this set are a really neat idea that work perfectly. I have an old 1998 Ford Ranger that still has the original clutch, and I've been expecting it to go out any time. I usually do my own mechanic work, but I'm older and I've been dreading the job of trying to get the new clutch lined up so I don't have to strain so much in putting the transmission back in. This kit is just what I need, and comes in a sturdy plastic carry case. There are 3 different size mandrells included. The price is very reasonable, especially compared to all of the work this kit can save me. It all works flawlessly and should last for a long time in a handyman shop like mine.

This kit should make clutch jobs easier and quicker not messing around making up clutch alignment tools out of socket extension, pipe or pieces of wood etc! It looks like it should work well as the kit comes with a variety of shafts and bushings to match to the clutch and pilot bearing size you're working on.

I grabbed this clutch alignment kit fully expecting to use it once, curse at it a lot, and throw it in the back of a drawer. Instead, it ended up making my clutch install feel... dare I say, efficient? The expanding mandrel is actually a cool design—just twist it to fit, no guesswork. And the pilot adapters gave me solid options without me having to Frankenstein my own solution with washers and zip ties (been there, don’t recommend it).Everything fits in a sturdy little case, and it doesn’t feel like it’s going to fall apart after one use. I used this on a buddy’s Civic and I’m holding onto it for when my own car decides it wants to develop “character” again. For the price, this thing earns its spot in the garage. Five stars—less because I’m wowed by tools, and more because I didn’t have to redo the job.

This is a really handy kit to have if you need to install clutches in a variety of vehicles. The kit includes three different spindles that can be adjusted for width simply by turning the knob at the end to expand the diameter. The kit also includes 8 pilot bearing bushings to fit most flywheel pilot bearings. Kit comes in a nice hard shell case with secure latches.While the kit really doesn't require a manual per se as its use is fairly obvious, and you can test fit or use the power of the internet to determine the correct pilot bearing bushing, none of the bushings are labelled on the case, nor is the size stamped or etched on each bushing. This means trial and error to get the correct fit (usually close enough is good enough) but would it really have been that difficult to etch or stamp the ends of the bushings? One star off for that.

Between my own cars and my son's cars - we do have the occasional need to install new clutches now and then. If you don't have any disc alignment tool - you will be out of luck. This tool is a very clever design which utilizes an expandable shaft for the disc and different sized adapters for the pilot bearing end. Brilliant.This tool is surprisingly adaptable to a multitude of sizes, which is great because I drive US classic cars, and my sons drive foreign cars. I already used this tool to change the clutch in my Chevy, so I know it works well for the older cars.If there was one thing I would include in the kit is replaceable O-rings that are used in the arbor. I'm sure they are a metric size, so I would have been great to include a few spares. There also is no labeling on the outside of the carry case to ID what is in the case.

A few months back I changed the clutch in my 2003 Toyota. The clutch kit I received included a simple plastic alignment tool, but it was a very sloppy in both the flywheel and clutch disc spline - this made alignment very frustrating, though not impossible. I knew then that I wanted a better alignment tool before I get around to the clutch on my FJ Cruiser.I'm happy to say this alignment tool looks excellent. With a nice selection of sizes for the pilot/flywheel end and the adjustable diameter for the clutch disc, this seems likely to fit most any passenger vehicle. The adjustable section for the clutch disc seems well made and adjusts very smoothly. The FJ work won't be soon, but this tool will come in handy when it happens.
