Your cart is empty.This 12 mm (1/2 inch) coarse cut rasp is made by a highly respected tool manufacturer in the Czech Republic and is of exceptional quality. The blade is made from tool steel and then hardened to RC 45. The blades are stitched with a CNC machine which produces a uniform tooth pattern and height allowing for a steady removal rate and an even finish. This is considered a coarse cut rasp with 10 teeth per square centimeter. The handle is 5 3/4 inch long, 1 1/2 inches in diameter and has a brass ferrule. Handle is made hard and dense Hornbeam. Blade is 12 mm (1/2 inch) in diameter and 300 mm (12") long. Overall length is 445 mm (18 inches). This is a well-made rasp for a very reasonable price.

This rasp is sharp and cuts well. We'll see how long it lasts. My only complaint is that the round handle allows it to roll off the work bench.

Wasn't expecting this to be so massive! It barely fits in my carving chest full of hand tools! I really like using it, as it's impossible for material to clog the tool - the tooth design is aggressive for shaping, but not intrusive to depreciate work quality with material clog. Looking forward to carving more spoons.

This is a beautiful high quality rasp. It feels great in your hands, it has some weight to it. This is not the typical cheapo rasp. If you are looking for something that is crazy sharp and well made, this would be a good choice. I'll definitely add more rasps from this manufacturer to my toolbox as I can afford them.

Really marveled at the performance capability of this rasp. Made a cut out crèche on three quarter marine plywood. Inside curves were well improved by this rasp’s quality.

I have a quarter-inch rattail file that often comes in handy, but I needed something bigger in diameter. This fills the bill. It's an aggressive rasp that quickly removes wood or plastic to enlarge or reshape a hole. (It probably would not work well on metal.)
