Wasn't sticky, ended up having to wrap over them anyway.

I recently had a mare with a bad hoof abscess and could have used these. I was not aware of a product like this so am glad to have them for the future. My mare usually gets one or two a year and usually on the hind. As I have not used them yet (and hope it will be a while till I do!) I can't speak to the adhesive ability of them but I plan to put some duct tape around them as extra security. I love the idea of pressing them on and I think once you get the bottom stuck you could probably set the hoof down and finish squeezing it on if the horse has difficulty standing. I'm thinking it might also work well after the bottom is stuck to make some cuts in the sides so that it can be wrapped over itself and not be so bulky. It may even adhere better this way. The material it is made from is definitely going to give some protection but it is not that hard and thick that you would want to depend on it for use over gravel or hard rocky ground. These are made as a temporary protection to allow a horse to go out on pasture when they are being treated for an abscess. I think it's a great product and really happy to have this in my First Aid kit!

These are a great idea for helping wrap a hoof!If you know, you know how hard it is to single handedly slop some poultice onto the sole of a hoof, then grab some kind of padding, then grab the duct tape - all without pony playing keep-away with that unwieldy hoof (because obviously it hurts or you wouldn't be putting any boo boo ointments on it). I can't count the times I've pre stuck duct tape to a door in a giant pinwheel pattern so I could pull it off and slap it on the hoof and wrap it over the hoof wall...only to have it stick to itself somewhere between that door and that hoof...argh!This is genius! My only "issue" with it (which really isn't a huge deal) is it will require duct tape to top off the sidewall area to keep it on. Its sticky, but not pony-proof sticky, if you know what I mean ;o). And, in the history of never has a hoof been "clean and dry" as per the instructions so just have some super sticky duct tape or elasticon tape handy to secure the top edges of the pad and it should stay on.As for the thickness, its ok but its not kevlar. Its kinda rubbery so I don't know how well it will hold up to sole wear without getting a hole, but again, just add some duct tape and you should be good to go!This is going to make things soooo much easier! I definitely recommend (love, love)

These are a joke to say the least - they won’t stick AT ALL to a clean dry hoof also dried on top of vet wrap and again, absolutely no stick at all - to the point that it falls off the moment you let go no matter what you stick it to. Stay to duck tape, this is no replacement.

And I read the Reviews! I "assumed" that they would at least stick well "enough" that I could get some vet wrap around it to help secure but like one other gal said, "even in a bone dry hoof" they would not stay put for one second. So I basically "used" it just to cover the sole of the foot and then just wrapped using vet wrap and duck tape like normal. Tomorrow I will see if he wore through this product. IF he does not wear through it overnight it might be good enough to use for that reason only, but peeps....it does not stick so be prepared. If my horse wears through this pad tomorrow the package gets sent back for a refund.

So much easier and quicker than the ways we’ve created our own in the past. Little spendy but worth the trade off of convenience

Nope! Not as good as Duct Tape. Sorry...that's just the cold hard truth. Sorry I wasted my money
