The stakes and bottles are surprisingly large; they hold 26 oz of water, which is great for larger plants, but might be oversized for plants in 4-inch pots. They work perfectly in my 8-inch containers, releasing water at just the right pace. The stakes are well-crafted but delicate, so handle with care since they are made of clay.The setup is straightforward: soak the stake in water for 5 minutes, insert it into the soil, fill the bottle, and attach it to the stake. They keep my plants hydrated for about a week, and I love that I can easily move them between pots. After seeing how well they work, I'm already ordering another set for my growing plant collection.

Love the of these clay spikes with blue bottles. The packaging is very sturdy and keeps the clay spikes well protected. You could replace the bottles if you didn't want plastic. Works well in my potted plants.
