I was astounded purchasing this pergola for $50 off during the holidays. We finally built it with ease and it was absolutely adorable. A couple days later we had a terrible wind storm and it bent the pergola like one of those scary exorcist movies. I was devastated. I reached out to LuxiJoy and communicated with Evelyn. She was FANTASTIC! Above and beyond, they sent me a new pergola and advised not to leave the canopy on in windy conditions.All to say, the pergola is gorgeous, especially for the price. Functionally wise, it’s unfortunate that you cannot leave the canopy during windy conditions. The aluminum will bend and rip from screws in high winds. Without the canopy, there are no issues. If you don’t mind taking the canopy on and off every time you use or down in windy conditions then this is the pergola for you.The canopy is held in place by guardrails for you to move it up or down on either side. You cannot tighten the canopy to the guardrails to hold it in place. If the wind picks up the canopy will try to fly away like the balloons on the movie Up.All and all I enjoy this canopy. Blocks the shade, looks elegant, and is lightweight on my balcony. I used sandbags wrapped around the legs to hold mine in place rather than the lockdowns and bolts that come with the pergola.

I mean, its ok for the price. The quality is meh. I hooked it up to the ground concrete using anchors. Just waiting until it breaks at some point.

Pretty easy to assemble but it's not very sturdy when the wind is blowing.

I've been in touch with the seller a few times. I am so disappointed as this pergola arrived damaged. They sent replacement pieces and we built the frame. It was up for 3 months and the rust began. Again, I reached out to them and they sent rust spray and replacement parts. Last night we put the shade/canopy on. Today we had some rain and wind. I was out there every hour trying to remove water and making sure the shade was still in place. The star hand knob tightner screws to keep the shade in place are too short so the shade freely moves up and down with the wind. I am just upset as this pergola has caused more stress than enjoyment. However, the customer service has been great.

My last pergola was destroyed in a single rain storm, so after doing lots of research and planning I decided on trying this one out. This pergola comes with many different features that were improvements over my old one and provides great shade and comfort in my backyard! You would benefit from having two people to put this together, but the instructions are very clear and it is simple to put together. The frame is very sturdy, and the canopy provides just the amount of light you want due to the sides of the canopy being adjustable! For the price and the size this pergola has met all of my expectations and then some.
