I was recently testing out some automotive treatments (windshield, spray on ceramic) and all the instructions call for microfiber cloths. I saw this towel and figured I would give it a shot.Out of the box: It came in far too nice black box (for a towel). The towel itself had its own bag, and there was a bonus 16"x16" microfiber cloth.Quality: This towel is HEAVY. This is not just your everyday bath towel, it is pretty thick, the edges are rolled, and hemmed, so no course edges. I wasn't sure why it needed to be so heavy until I used it. On the scale, it was 1 lbs 7 ounces dry.Function: While my plan was to use it to buff after treatments, I drove home in a downpour, and figured I'd test it as it was listed...a car drying towel. Unlike a chamois that dries stiff, this is very soft. It is also heavy, so when you toss it out onto the car, you just need to drag it back. One pass....all the water was removed and that section was spot free. I proceeded to do the entire car. You can see in the pictures where I just did one side of the roof, and the water was still on one side. It was spot free in one pass, and never felt like I needed to wring the towel out. I dried the entire car (Model Y) and it still felt just lightly damp, but weighed 2lbs 2 ounces. It was holding 11 ounces of water and could have done a lot more.Value: This is the only area that gives me any pause. I'm torn a bit....as nice as the box is, and speaks to a level of quality, I'm not sure it would have changed my opinion once I used it. I would rather see a slightly lower price, or maybe an extra cloth vs the box, and bag.All in all, I think I am going to buy another one. That way I can keep one in the car at all times for post car wash touch ups.

There was a bonus smaller detail towel also included. They both worked as expected and seemed appropriately absorbent. They were packaged in a nice box and in a reusable zip lock bag that would be a nice storage container to keep them in storage. I included a picture of the packaging and care instructions.Note that to keep this best it recommends a microfiber detergent and not to use bleach or softener as it affects the absorption. I have a hamper just for all my household microfiber towels used for cleaning and I do use a special microfiber detergent for them and it does keep them in good shape.The large towel looks to me like the towel was constructed by folding a larger towel over and stitching them together. If you look closely, there are what appear to be two lines of stitching across the middle during manufacturing. The stitching areas are smooth and have a continuous feel. Then it appears another stitching is done around the outside and perhaps some kind of reinforcement ‘cord’ or padding was put between the layers to create the edge. The stitching seems to be well done; there is no ‘hard’ edge as the smaller version of the towel has. If you hold it up to the light, you can see some pinholes of light through it (which I can do with some other towels as well).
