Supplies the whole house with hot water

Be sure to check your wiring size if your are using this as a small tank water heater replacement. I ordered this for my brother who needed to replace a small tank water heater by their kitchen. It turns out that the wire gage used for that water tank was smaller than is needed by this tankless unit, so he couldn't use it.I think this would be an awesome unit ...IF you have the right size wire feeding it! If not, you'll need to either re-wire (expensive PITA!) or find a different solution like my brother did.

This water heater works great under the sink that takes a while to get hot from the main unit. You do need some decent water pressure, otherwise mixing cold takes the pressure from the heater and it shuts off. So it's actually better to set it at a comfortable temp with NO cold mixed in. If you're on municipal water you may not have this problem. I like the gas ones for the efficiency, but this is good in a spot that might be hard to vent.

This is is a handy little instant hot water heater, intended for use at a single location and not a whole plumbing system. I am utilizing this a bit differently and have it as part of my garage radiant floor heating system. I have it connected to a circulation pumped loop with thermostat controlling when it needs to kick on. Not the most efficient setup but it is lower cost of entry for the time being. Pretty decent performance thus far. I am going to be curous to see how long it takes for the performance to fall as a result of scale. If it isnt too touchy, we might have a winner as these can be rather tempermental.

Upon opening the box (which was packaged well and quickly and safely), I immediately thought "there's no way that this thing is going to output enough hot water to supply all of our Master Bedroom's Bathroom needs (2 sinks and a huge walk-in shower), along with a Kitchenette that has another sink." Well, I was wrong. I have no idea how they engineer these little things to be such monsters at continuously outputting hot water, but it's impressive. I have a 6,000+sq/ft 1800s Victorian farmhouse in the country and at the far side of the house (from the main, huge (120 gallon) vertical traditional hot water tank), the long run of hot water from the other side of the house just can't maintain temperature well enough at the tap in our master bedroom bath. So although this huge tank "can" keep up, performance wise, I don't like having to wait over two minutes for the pipes to heat back up as the water runs needlessly down my drain before I can hop into the shower or use hot water in my master laundry room sink, etc. Call me impatient. Anyhow, I decided to add this into the mix and located it right inside a utility cabinet inside of my master bathroom since we were in the middle of a remodel there anyways and I am so glad I did. Now, when I turn on the water, I have instant heat and man, do I mean instant (like less than 10 seconds, to any tap). Now my main tank no longer has to be burdened by supplying water to this portion of the house at all. Yet in the wall, I created a sort of hot-water supply switch, if you will, to allow me to later (if I so desire, for whatever possible reason), to switch to either system with the simple turn of a valve (since I had already went to the effort of running hot water from the main tank). Anyhow, that's probably useless for this review. Regarding this product, if you've already got power in place and a cold-water supply line (which I did not), then installing it couldn't be easier. Once installed (and the directions are clear, although almost unnecessary as it's so straight forward - but then again, I'm a general contractor, so maybe I see things a bit differently), this thing really puts out the hot water. I can run my master bath walk-in shower, while my wife is right around the corner running hot water in the sink at full open or working in the kitchenette, and it just keeps going continuously without any sense that it's struggling - no dips, no slightly less hot moments - nothing. Setting your preferred temp is very easy too, as the touch-screen control is simple and straight forward (Hotter? Push up. Colder? Push down) Overall, I couldn't be happier with this little unit and therefore, gladly and highly, recommend it to others.

Most of our needs at the barn require only cold water. But washing up and cleaning water buckets and chicken waterers, especially in cold weather, really need some warm water. We have gone through a couple of hot water heaters, so I decided to try this under our barn sink. The installation was straightforward, and the flow is just fine since it is just one sink. So far so good - time will tell on the longevity of it. While we do have heat in this particular tack room, the walls are not insulated and the windows are not thermal, so whether harsh weather shortens its life span remains to be seen.

We recently installed the Tankless Water Heater Electric MIZUDO 3500W 120 Volt, On Demand Instant Endless Hot Water Heater under our bathroom sink. I had high hopes for this unit and was underwhelmed. I know it isn't designed to take a shower with, but I was expecting it to last longer than a couple of minutes before not being able to keep up. The unit does provide you with hot water in under 3 seconds for washing your hands and such, but much more than that and the unit starts to lag. Aesthetically, the unit looks very nice and is easy to configure. Installation does require some electrical skills, so if you aren't comfortable with that, you might want to hire a professional.
