This is a review for “1 -2-3 Inch Blocks, 2-Piece Set of 1" x 2" x 3" Hardened Steel Blocks for Machining, Metalworking, Woodworking”I have wanted a pair of these blocks for a long time, I just did not know what they were called to order them. They are surprisingly inexpensive, considering how many ways these blocks can be used.I have a laser engraver and also a Cricut for making paper crafts. I am always gluing things together and having these blocks to use as weights to ensure good, solid and flat adhesion, has been really handy. I also regularly use the straight sides to align pieces of my projects together.These blocks arrive wrapped in this paper that is kind of like wax paper. The blocks have a light coating of machine oil on them. I washed my bricks before my first use, then I set them in my drying rack to dry. Oddly, one of these bricks has some rust starting in several of the holes in the brick. I would have thought these would have been made out of stainless steel. I rubbed it off the brick very easily, but it is something I will keep an eye on. Hopefully they won’t begin to rust from humidity in the air.I live in a fairly dry climate, so I’m hoping I’m safe there, but something to keep in mind, if you live in an area with high humidity.
