An acrylic turntable mat is a simple and effective upgrade for any turntable (unless you have an acrylic platter).How is it an upgrade? Static electricity is really annoying when it comes to playing vinyl. If anything touches the needle it makes sound and dust is one of those things. Some turntable mats hold static on its surface, which attracts dust, and when you place your record on it to play that dust and static gets transferred to the record and gets transferred to the needle. An acrylic mat isn't going to completely solve this issue but it sure helps. Be aware that when you first take off the protective film it will have a lot of static charge on the surface. Might need to wait a few days for it to dissipate.Another advantage is the super solid surface and a little bit extra rotating mass, which in theory acts like a flywheel to keep playback speed consistent.Bottom line: It looks really great, its supper functional, and its a very inexpensive upgrade. No brainer.

I've still very new to the turntable scene however I have found that this product makes for a clean and bright sound while playing records on it. It's super easy to clean and feels durable and is durable considering I've already dropped it once and it's still fine! Aesthetically it a simple white platter but still looks pretty on the turntable!Overall very happy with this and I think this is a good investment if you want to investigate what different turntable mat materials do for you
