This is the most elegant paper cutter that I have ever seen. It is art.The base is golden covered by clear acrylic with graphic marks as well as angles of degrees with guiding lines at forty-five, sixty, ninety and seventy five degrees. The holding bar is raised high enough to cut ten average sheets of paper at one time. It lifts horizontally to accept the paper sheets.A sliding block in bright orange hides the razor. Horizontal and vertical with inches and centimeters are easy to see.The bottom is covered in soft felt.This is one elegant paper cutter. It cuts very well with the orange slider. Measuring is easy. It is an excellent tool for any student or homemaker.

This is a pretty well designed paper cutter which has made life a little easier for me. It's a simple design, but seems to be well built. The marks are easy to see and the blade works well for clean cuts.For the price this is an effective tool. This has a simple blade that you push down on and slide across to make your cuts. It says it's rated for up to 10 sheets, but even with thinner paper that might be a bit of a stretch.I was cutting some lighter duty paper and I felt comfortable cutting seven or eight sheets at one time. If you're using a thicker paper then I'd say maybe five or six sheets at one time. If you try cutting much more than that at once there is a fair amount of resistance/friction and it's not a large blade so I feel there would be some excessive wear, risk of breakage, or at the very least more likelihood of the sheets shifting around on you.
