The car control arm elastically connects the wheel and the body together through the ball joint or bushing respectively.

This was installed on a 2004 Ford Excursion. It took over a week to arrive but this was noted by Amazon prior to me ordering. I ordered the kit to renew the steering. I did not use the ball joints. Since they are not stamped with a name I'm familiar with I decided to use ball joints made by a company I've used for over 40 years, name starts with "M". The kit appears to be reasonably made with a good coating. Everything assembled as it should with no difficulty. The kit includes Cotter Pins and Grease Fittings. One impressive thing is everything that could have a grease fitting did. I was disappointed with the Sway Bar End Links. They are made of noticeably smaller steel than OEM, but they too have grease fittings. I question if they would hold up to off road use. I think the links are OK for highway use so I opted to use them, time will tell. The ball joints have grease fittings and were tight so they made be OK, due to the time it takes to replace ball joints and we plan on keeping the vehicle for a long time, I decided to not use them, but they are probably OK. My 4 star rating is mostly due to what appears to be lower quality end links.
