This was perfect for adding a drawstring to a sweat shirt I bought at a thrift shop that was missing the string. I was a bit hard to know which tool to use or how to even use the pieces included. There are no directions on how to use each one so I just improvised and hooked one on the end and shoved it through the hole and worked it around the hood. The string themselves are thick and soft. Very great quality with metal ends not plastic that can break easily.

I literally bumped into this product. I had no idea something like this even existed on Amazon.The drawstring on one of my pajama pants broke. It was already the second pair this had happened to. I started looking around for a fabric store to find some kind of replacement, since all the Joann Fabric stores near me had closed down. The closest one I could find was 25 miles away. I was debating whether it was really worth the time and gas to go that far.While browsing on Amazon, I came across this 12-piece drawstring replacement set and ordered it on a whim.When I received them, I could not stop slapping my forehead thinking, why did I wait so long? The quality is excellent. The drawstrings are sturdy, well made, and have a soft texture that feels almost like a sweater cord. They come in three of the most versatile colors. The package also includes three little tools that I assumed were designed to help thread the strings through garments. There are also several sets of cord locks.I used them right away to fix two pairs of pajama pants. Then I remembered my walking windbreaker had a missing hood drawstring, so I replaced that too. It was so easy, so quick, and so affordable.If you need to replace a drawstring, do not think twice. Just get this set. The price is too good for everything you get.

Absolutely amazing kit for the price!I love that it includes multiple tool types for any kind of drawstring job.The drawstrings themselves are pretty nice. Nice cotton with metal caps. There are so many pairs of sweats that I'm going to replace with these just because I love the metal cap feature. I also love that they come in gray black and white. I love so many things about these 😆 gone are the days of inching an old drawstring back through my pantsIt's a great set to have on hand, especially considering the fact that the price is perfect. You're able to get enough without it being overkill as it is when you order some things. They're thick enough and don't feel cheap. The tools are self explanatory and easy to use (although I'm sure some people would benefit from just a small little instruction guide). They function exactly as intended. This set is truly a lifesaver.I can't even tell you how many times over the years I've wished I had tools like these for various things. It'll go above and beyond just putting drawstring in different clothing articles.Overall, I would order these again and again. I've seen no cons thus far. We'll see how they hold up over time and I'll update if necessary.

I’m a US woman’s size 12/L with a 33” waste. These 57” drawstrings fit with plenty of extra to hang down or tie.The drawstrings are thick and soft.The silver metal cord tips will keep the cord ends from fraying, and the silver looks nice.I like that they included cord locks, although I would have preferred silver to match the cord tips. Both cord ends fit into a single cord lock. They easily slide in.The long coil tool makes is super-easy to push the cord through waist bands/hoods while gathering the fabric on the tool. Takes me less than 1 minute! I put the cord through the loop and make the short end of the cord hang as long as the length of the tool. It stays on the tool while threading it through.The smaller needle-like tool is good for getting through very narrow, tight tubes.Adding drawstrings is easy because of the hardware in this kit. Now I want brown, navy and khaki drawstrings too!

Replacement drawstring cord kit is exactly as shown in posting...maybe a bit nicer though. :)I actually have 3 hoodies and a pair of lounge pants that I needed to replace the drawstrings in. Just finished one of the hoodies - everything went well, and this kit contains everything I need to complete each of the 4 items I need to fix.Metal accessories are useful, flexible, and sturdy enough to get the most intricate threading/lacing jobs done using minimal time and I found it nicely frustration free. So much better than the inch-by-inch process I've used for all of my life. I did end up closing up the rounded coil metal piece on the end as the two pieces weren't quite joined together perfectly and it left a pointed piece sticking out.The black cord locks are very durable, with solid tension, easy-to-operate push unlock, and a sturdy build that I believe will hold up very well to repeated uses and washing.The actual drawstring cords are true colors of white and black and what I consider to be that true medium-grey sweatshirt color. The cotton is tightly "woven" with no loose threads or gaps and they are softer and lightweight rather than a thicker, compacted, hard cording, and their metal aglets (end pieces) are 1/8" thick and just under 1" long.Kit is fantastic to have on hand for future fixes; quality is definitely above average the pieces included do make for a complete kit that is easy and efficient to use. Extremely great value.
