We got these plant protectors with hopes of discouraging our assortment of woodland (and neighborhood) critters from snacking on our baby plants. Unfortunately, these are too light weight to do the job. The "feet" are only about 3 inches and don't provide any resistance to determined deer. We had hoped we would at least get to see the lilies in our butterfly/pollinator garden bloom this year. Despite placing the cages around the plants, we woke up last week to find tipped over cages, and lily plants munched down to the ground. Longer "feet" (maybe 6 inches or so) might work better - or purchasing some heavy duty ground staples might stop this from happening.Value-wise, at nearly $100 dollars for light weight covers that might only dissuade smaller animals like squirrels, rabbits and birds these cages are not a good value. And, for a semi-woodland location they're not worth the investment. We don't feel these will last more than a season or so. The wire is just too flimsy and the cages we put around the lilies are already rusting/oxidizing.

I ordered a pack of 3 of these when they were going for $49. Overall, they're sturdy and easy to use to protect smaller or younger plants from critters who might want to chomp them. I feel that they will last several seasons. I usually have some nibbles between rabbits, skunks, and who knows what else - but these will reliably keep them out.But they aren't anything special, and I think the going rate is a bit steep, especially for the average home gardener (which I am). If there was a coupon for 20-30% off, I'd consider repurchasing or recommending, but not at the going price.

These are excellent cloches. They are a great quality, and should last me for years and years. My favorite thing about them is that they can be placed in the garden without detracting from the beauty. Others I use are an eyesore. These blend in very well and are hardly noticable. The plants underneath can still shine in the garden beautifully. Also, my honeybees have no problems accessing the flowers.I did read a review where the top is hard to snap on. I agree. However, I snap it on three of the four sides and I have had no problems with the lid faling off. And I have major spring winds here where I live. To me, this is a minor issue, and if I really wanted to make some effort, I could snap them in place.I do think they are ever so slightly overpriced. But they are a good quality, and they will likely last a lifetime, so theer is that.

These are a five-star product, but the price tag ($159.99 for 12 when I ordered) feels like a splurge for a home potager. However… I love them and put every single one to use the day I opened the box. They’re a matter of seconds to assemble and install, and they’ve been doing a fantastic job of redirecting our chickens and wild bunnies away from my younger herbs and veggies and back to the greens and other treats I grow for them. They’re roomy enough that I expect my pepper plants and probably also my eggplants won’t outgrow them. I have some small tomato plants that just came out of the greenhouse that are under these for now, but will likely outgrow them in the next 4-6 weeks. They’re quite versatile with the removable cap and are well-made and coated, so they will last a long time. They stack together neatly so storing them after the growing seasons in a corner of the greenhouse isn’t a hassle. They’re also very cute, and I’m thinking once my tomato plants get too big, I’m going to move these to my tea garden. They’re a love for me, even if they’re a bit of a spend for growing vegetables in the backyard.

I love the idea of these, and when I ordered them, I imagined them to be a little heavier duty than they are.Height-wise, they are exactly as expected and will be great for those baby plants that need extra protection from the wind. However, I think I will still need to stake them down as the feet dont go far enough into the ground to be stable. The lids are kind of ridiculous. You have to bend and shape and adjust to get them on and I blame this on the quality of the material that they are made of, its a very thin wire.At the end of the day, I have to review these based on the what you get for what you pay and quite frankly, I feel that 49.99 for 3 of these is way over priced. I like the cages, I think they will do the trick, and it wouldn't be a huge deal to bend the lids into shape to make them fit... but not for $50. I guess I expect more for 50 bucks.

Item reviewed: DFJFIFF Garden cloches - 11.8×19.7in Large Size Plant Cages for Outdoor Plants,Removable Flap Design,Rust-Proof Metal Plant Cages for Outdoor Plants Protects Garden from Animals - 3 PackDate reviewed: May 15, 2025This is a great set of protective cages. They appear well-made and sturdy. The top does attach, but it's unclear if the tabs go on the inside or the outside. I couldn't get the tops to attach snugly, which means the hook at the top is useless for transport.Happy to have these, though. One is on my new tree sapling, one on a hosta I don't want bunnies to eat, and one on a pepper plant. I wish I had about 20 of them!
