Let me start by saying I have restored many Coleman lanterns and stoves. I also collect. One of the most common issues is a bad cap gasket keeping the lantern from holding pressure. It is also one of the easiest to correct (with a correct size gasket). To do a proper and permanent fix, you must remove the old gasket and press the new one down in to the slot. These are simply too large. They are very close, but close doesn’t cut it. I tried several out of the bag I received to make sure I did not get a bad one. I fought with it for over an hour to see if I could make it work and finally gave up. I used one I had from a different supplier, less than 2 minutes all done.I am always happy to see new sources of parts to keep these old treasure going, provided they work, these do not and you will be frustrated if you try.
