It’s a very handy tool I didn’t know I needed until I watched someone else use one. Quick and easy set up. Cleaner and quicker than draining out the bottom. I can extract more oil than I can drain from my ProMaster V6 engine oil pan. Best part is not having to lay on the cold and dirty garage floor. Try it. You will like it.

I recently changed the oil in both of my vehicles so I cannot say how well this pumps as I won't need it for a while, but I assume it can pump out the oil from the oil pan since that is what it is designed to do. The unit is simple, it has an inlet that you attach the included 6mm hose to. There is an outlet that you attach to a container that holds the old oil. The smaller inlet hose is inserted into the dipstick tube. Then the pump is attached to your car battery and pumps out the oil. They include all the hoses and clamps you need as well as a screwdriver (to tighten the clamps) and even some work gloves. I would suggest that you do replace your oil filter if you use this. My only concern is the clamps that attach to the battery. They are pretty low quality, and you will need to be gentle with them. But they would be easy to replace.

Make sure you run the engine first to get the oil warm for a few minutes before using so the oil flows well through the pump. Supper easy to use and it works great if pump warm oil into a container for disposal. Great investment to save money doing my own oil changes.
