This dimmer installs relatively easily and quickly. It looks great and has a smooth dial action, it dims full spectrum and is very convenient.

Smooth operation but it never shuts off all the way. Info below.Pros:The dial operates smoothly and it has an off position.The included aluminum face plate is decent quality.The dial can be removed without damaging it.Cons:Pretty light weight, so not sure of the real power capacityThe face plate is small and not a common size. It won't fit standard outlet boxes or covers at all.The wires are a bit short but they don't have to meet AC wiring requirements since it's low voltage.It draws significant current all the time on it's own even with no load connected and when the dial is clicked OFF. It still pulls 1/2 watt or 500mW. Forever. Oddly the current draw goes down to 290mW when you turn the dial up. That's ok for DC power supplies but for battery projects that's not ideal since it wastes power.It will run down your battery if left connected and because of that one big drawback I can't even use it.

This is a nice looking, and feeling dimmer switch. The knob as well as the mounting plate are both Aluminum, and have a quality feel to them.There is a solid click at full off position.Comes decently packaged, with clear well written instructions.I would buy again.

I have a lot of DIY electrical projects going. I own an older Jeep Wrangler, and not only is it my toy, it's a platform for many other toys that I have. LED pods, LED strips, signs, whips, just all sorts of gizmos and gadgets. I'm always tinkering with ideas and parts, and recently had an idea for adding LED strips to the inside of my Jeep for interior lighting. I wanted some way to control dimming, so when I saw this I had to try it.It arrived in a plastic bag and contains the switch and hardware to mount it.It's a nice switch! The dial has a smooth action and has a little resistance to the movement. The three wires are easy to access, and the knob pulls off to allow flush mounting if you prefer.Overall I'm happy with this switch and look forward to incorporating it into the Jeep Project.I recommend!

Just what I needed for the camper/ice fishing trailer I’m building. This dimmer switch is a game changer for when I need to tone down those blinding LED lights—because let’s be honest, you don’t need to feel like you’re living in a UFO when you’re just trying to relax.Now I can adjust the brightness for when I’m not filming or when I just want a little ambiance while sipping hot cocoa and pretending I'm not cold. Four stars because it works, but if it could also make me a cup of coffee or tell a joke, it’d get five.
