I have a DeWalt 734 planer and have an upcoming project where I'm going to need to plane a bunch of wood. My current blades are in reasonable shape, but I wanted to have a spare set just in case, so I don't have to stop mid-project and wait for new blades to arrive.These blades look like good blades. The edges are sharp, but not mirror polished, and they're only sharpened with a single bevel on each edge, not the double bevel like on the OEM blades; the holes line up with the bolt holes; and they're the correct size. The blades are actually a little thicker than the OEM blades, though not sure if that really makes much of a difference in terms of durability or longevity. They arrived in a plastic case, which was inside a cardboard box and were in good condition.Given that these blades are over 60% less than the cost of a replacement set of DeWalt OEM blades at the big orange box store, they're definitely cheaper. It remains to be seen how well these hold up over consistent use, and that durability is going to play a big factor in whether the low price translates to a good value. I'll update this one I have these spinning on my planer and can speak to the results; durability may take longer.

These replacement planer blades have put new life into my Dewalt DW734 planer. The difference in cutting performance compared to my old, worn blades was night and day. Fits my Dewalt planer perfectly. Blades are sharp and I am back to butter. There were two chips in my old blades and you could see the two lines on the boards. I cant speak to longevity, but I just got done throwing about 20 board feet of maple through it and its butter.

The first thing I did was make sure the knives actually fit my Dewalt 734 planer. Perfect fit. Right out of the package they are predictably dangerously sharp, as we want them to be. The only thing I cannot speak to is the longevity and durability of the blades and that will take a while to assess. So far, so good!

I received these through Amazon Vine.These planer knives are for a DeWalt DW734 plainer. The knifes are sized to fit the planer correctly, though they are slightly thicker steel than the original DeWalt knives. All holes and slots are placed correctly to mount these to my planer.The grind on these knifes is why I am rating these one star. Of the six edges (3x knifes with two edges each), none had a perfect grind. Three edges were good enough to be useable, clean, but a little rougher than would be nice. One edge was pretty rough, but I think could be cleaned up to useable with a stone. The last two were awful with uneven grinds, chips in the edge, and some large burrs and folded edges. These last two are not useable out of the box, and I'm not sure any amount of work I could do to them would make them useable (these are single use knifes and are not height adjustable, and I would need to remove some real material to make a clean edge). I have not tried these out, but as they came I would not put these on my planer.

These came wrapped in an oil soaked cloth, which is an attention to detail you seldom see with Chinese manufacturing. That said, the quality of the blades isn't good. There are very noticeable rough edges on the cutting surface. These may potentially be a safety concern, but they certainly are likely to mess up a work piece. So i won't be using these blades in my planer. It's not worth the risk.

These blades fit my DeWalt DW735 perfectly and appear to be of good quality. I put some pressure treated fence boards through and they did a great job; they functioned as they should. I recommend these to anyone that could use some good quality blades.

I picked up these blades for my DeWalt DW735X 13" Planer. Honestly I'm in the middle of setting up my new shop and the planer is new and hasn't even been unboxed yet. So.. obviously I don't have experience with the blades as I just bought them as back up so as to never get stuck in the middle of a project with a damaged blade. That said, I thought I might could post some pictures showing exactly what you'd be getting. And giving initial impressions with having them in hand. They look great, feel sharp and seem like they should be fine replacement blades. Also I appreciate that they come wrapped in oiled paper and tucked away in a protective rigid plastic sheath which should keep them nick and damage free and protected from any rust or corrosion damage until they're used. 5-Stars.
