Installation was a breeze. The screen snapped right in and right away, it looked to be a perfect replacement. After using it for a few days, the corners started "bleeding". Not sure how much worse this will get, but it's progressing.Will provide update in a month.

This screen works beautifully. And the entire touch screen works. Replacing it was a snap, literally, the old screen snapped apart from the base using an iFixIt Anti-Clamp device and their jimmy knife. Then I carefully removed the ribbon cables. They are held in with latches so carefully lift the those. The new screen is very well wrapped and goes in working backwards of the way you removed the old screen. Make sure the ribbon cables and latches are properly seated. I tested it before snapping the screen back down so I wouldn't have to unsnap it if I needed to re-seat cables. I have also installed a Supershieldz tempered glass protector to hopefully help prevent future breakages because the OEM and this screen are super thin. It's all back together and working great.

Bought this as a replacement for the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 5 Chromebook. The screen works, but a ripple keeps occurring just under the camera. This has happened on two separate screens now. This screen does work, but I don't want to keep having to replace this even when this device is stored in a safe place and is unused for months on end.Update (01.13.2025) - I have updated my review as I was reached out to by support and got me a replacement quickly and efficiently. This one looks good and is working perfectly.Update(04.07.2025) - Updating again as the screen did the exact same thing. This device is protected on a shelf in a temperature controlled space and has not moved since installation. Another comment had the exact same situation. This is the 4th replacement I have received.

My daughter dropped her Chromebook and shattered the screen. I ordered this replacement and was worried about the fragility, reliability, and difficulty. This screen came extremely well packaged with several layers of plastic wrap, cardboard, and styrofoam to keep this screen safe. To those wondering, the screen replacement on the Duet 5 is ridiculously simple for anyone who has a guitar pick or an iFixIt kit. There is a video on Youtube to show you what to do. The screen unclips very easily and relatively flexible. You have two ribbon cables to remove, both with lock down latches so do that properly. Once you plug in the new screen you just push into the tablet with a little bit of light force to clip it back in.Should be easy for anyone who knows how to treat something carefully and if you've ever done computer/tablet/phone repair, this may be the easiest screen replacement you've ever done.
