It lasted five pulls and the pull string snapped! Buy a decent one dont waste your money on this garbage!!

Fits my Toro Recycler mower with a Kohler engine perfectly - fixed just like new and so much easier than truing to restring the original starter. Great price and made out of very sturdy plastic that feels almost like metal.Restringing can be a pain, and one time I did it and the spring popped out and sliced my hand. This item is not much more cost than buying just the rope and handle, and it’s much easier and faster to replace the entire starter as compared to replacing the rope.

While this starter assembly was not a drop-in for my Kohler XT-6 engine (on a Husqvarna 6021P mower, see pic), it still assembled to the motor and works just fine as a replacement for my broken part.

It fit perfectly but I had modify the pull cord handle due to an engineering flaw. I had to add a metal washer to the pull rope so it would not pull out of the handle.
