As mentioned in other reviews, the picture is misleading as it shows a bottoming chamfer tap. The description is accurate: the delivered item is a plug tap. For reference, taper tap = 9 thread chamfer, plug tap = 5 thread chamfer, bottoming tap = 1.5 thread chamfer. As others have said, buyer beware.

The image used for this product is a tap with a Bottoming Chamfer, and this is misleading and should be corrected. The actual item has a pointed tip which is to be expected for a Plug Chamfer, as is mentioned in the text used to describe the item. In many cases this won't be a problem, but buyer beware.
