This product is okay and does do the job that I expect of it. However, after looking over this hoe I believe it is over priced for the quality. Varnish is still tacky, would have preferred to just have the handle coated with boiled linseed oil. just my opinion.

Forged construction (no welds), well balanced, and tough as nails. I love this tool. It has the quality and attention to detail you expect of products made in Japan.

Definitely NOT made in Japan. Really poorly made. The very dull blade was badly shaped. I had to redo the blade shape. The wood had a split in it. $35 for junk.

This little hoe works Great! Very sharp and easily breaks through concrete residue around porches. Perfect for sprinkler system modifications or sprinkler additions.

This narrow hoe is sturdy and reliable, perfect for digging, weeding, and planting. The Japanese carbon steel blade is sharp and durable, and the oak handle provides a comfortable grip. It's a great tool for any gardening enthusiast. A must-have for maintaining a beautiful garden.

This thing is the size of a hatchet, so its a bit unwieldy in my square foot style raised beds. It would be more handy in the orchard where berry bushes and plants are a bit bigger and more spaced out.It has a waxy coating on the handle that remains on the hand. It's a bit annoying, but seems to come off with water.
