I started using stoneware for cooking about thirty years ago. It took quite awhile to build up my collection to cover my needs, but that was such a great investment. Almost all of those pans are still going strong, as I have only lost a couple through my years of raising five kids. One issue I have had over the years is that it would be really nice to have another flat stone (I have a rectangular one, and two circles). When baking cookies, making appetizers, making pizza, etc. I can put two stones into the oven, and prep the third. With this stone, I can have two that I'm prepping, while the other two are baking.This stone fits right in with my others, being exactly halfway between the two circular stones I have. It feels similar in weight, and it certainly does a great job of retaining the heat and distributing it to the food nicely.The only drawback is that this pan is not seasoned. Yet. I'm so used to my well-seasoned pans, though, that I have to remind myself to do things like use cooking spray. The first time I used this was with frozen french fries. The ones on my old stone were perfect. The ones on this stone stuck to the pan because I simply wasn't thinking at all. I have not repeated that mistake!Cleanup is a breeze - even with the stuck-on fries. The scraper that comes with this pan is large and very effective.

My family loves pizza, but your average home oven doesn't really get hot enough to cook it properly, or, you end up heating up the house (nice in winter, not so nice in summer).My grill, on the other hand, does get plenty hot and doesn't heat up the house. This has been a game changer! Crust that is a little crispy outside, chewy inside. Gets a little of that grill flavor...so good!

My last stone, I had for ages, I dropped. Was pretty heartbroken, as stones become seasoned.Enter this new stone. So far, the pizzas are very crisp and cook up perfectly! I also bake biscuits on my stones and other baked goods. Everything works so well.Excellent and hope to have for many years.
