I find these gloves pretty comfortable and very heavy duty. I like them because they go up well past my wrist and offer protection if I lean my arm on something, but they are little too heavy for TIG welding, because you can't bend your fingers enough in them to have the kind of control you would like, for either the torch or the filler... I could probably make them work but I feel like I need something just a little more flexible for TIG welding. I'm sure these would be fine for MIG or other kind of welding.

These are pretty thin and don't offer a huge amount of protection from heat. They are basically a thinly insulated leather work glove and not a welding glove.

I bought these for my husband as an anniversary gift. (9 years is leather) He uses them for the fireplace! He said they were very comfortable

This is a top notch leather glove for handling wood going into a woodburner or fireplace. Nice and thick, also a good length, don't feel any heat whatsoever. Good value for the money.
