this did not hold pressure; leaked air right through the valve, which made it completely useless.

I had to get a reducer for my 1/2 propane line. After putting some sealant tape on the threads I installed it and added air pressure. Very simple to use.

I recently redid the plumbing in my house. I was looking for a easy way to pressure test the lines with my air compressor. This assembly worked great. I would have gave it 5 stars but I had to use a lot of Teflon tape to keep it from leaking around threads.

I bought this for a gas test of my new gas lines, it leaked, which makes it totally pointless. However, I took it apart to seal the leak. They use some sort of mickey mouse glue on the threads. What is the point of a gas test gauge if it leaks, I mean come on how can you test the leak with a bad gauge? Regardless, now my gas line has held constant pressure for 2 weeks and I passed my inspection, so it works if you seal it up with pipe dope or tape.

Bought this to check plumbing lines ability to hold pressure before turning on the water or making offers on foreclosed homes. Bought a brass adapter to go to the assembly and hooked up a washing machine hose to it (those hoses are M2M). That way I can screw it onto the outside hose bibs or the washing machine. Sure beats the old wayYour mileage may vary but rhis setup works well for me and I highly recommend this test gauge assembly.

What can I say? It works. Sure made it easy to verify all the defective pipes were repaired after a winter freeze instead of turning on the water to find another failure point.

For some reason the two 60 pound Pasco gauges we bought leaked at the threads no matter what or how much Teflon tape or thread sealant we used. Not good when trying to hold pressure for a system test. Our fix was to use a PVC bushing.

I purchased this so I could do a pressure test on a new propane line I ran for a cooktop stove. I had the line pressurized for 48 hours and never lost any pressure at all. for the price it is very much worth it and it is a good quality.
