I really really wanted to like this croft. But it has one extremely fatal flaw unless you modify it. The handle can actually slide up and come disconnected from the croft when its heavy ie completely full . The only thing securing it in a little slide setup is a thin plastic cap on top of the handle. This has lead to me nearly dropping it twice and ever since then I've always had to hold it with two hands, which is fairly annoying when its filled with hot coffee. I have now epoxied it together so it (hopefully) can no longer disassemble itself.besides the "fatal flaw" above, I was actually very impressed with how thick/ robust feeling the glass is on this. the handle and lid also feel pretty decent minus it trying to disassemble itself

I have a cuisinart coffee maker. An older one that works great. The carafe broke. Ordered a new one on Amazon at a great price! They will cost $40.00 through the manufacturer. Perfect replacement and excellent quality for the price!
