Super well-made. You can feel the quality as soon as you take it out of the box. All of the pieces feel strong. All of the moving pieces operate smoothly and all of the parts that are supposed to tighten up get rock solid. There are no sharp or rough edges. It comes with a piece of kayak track, but I already have one installed on my yak, so I didn't use that. It seems just as solid as everything else though. The mount worked perfectly with my track; it slides smoothly when loose but tightens up rock-solid. The ball mount connections are as good as any I've used in the past. The mounting plate has plenty of mounting holes, so you should be able to munt just about any display. It does not have a round plate, so if you need one of those for a smaller display, you'll have to get that separately, but you will find a few here on Amazon. This is a high-quality product, and I fully recommend it.

This is a great way to use a fish finder on your kayak, Keeps your fish finder, the transducer, and the cord, everything except the battery cable, all on one mount. It makes it easy to take on and off, and keeps everything together. 1.5" ball mounts are super sturdy and this is no exception. It comes with a nice large surface with a bunch of holes to mount an array of fish finders, as well as this comes with it's own track, so you don't even need a track to mount it on, you just need a flat surface near the edge of your watercraft. I'm excited to be able to use a fish finder on my kayak now, and this is the all in one solution. Combine this with a through hull quick connect for the battery cable, and you have a quick connect pop on and off when you want fish finder mount for any floating craft.I would highly recommend. Great product.

I just picked up another kayak and it comes with ability to thru hull mount but my other kayaks don’t have this . Because of new kayak going to get a Garmin 5cv but I want to use on the other kayaks too. This outboard mount will allow me to use the Garmin easily on the other kayaks I have now. The mount is super heavy duty and with the 1.5” balls going to be rock solid. Deduced one star because t slot hardware was chromed and chrome is already peeling, guaranteed to rust. I’ll just replace with a stainless t nut. The rest of the hardware appears to be stainless.

Overall, it works. Great if you have a kayak that doesn't have a transducer mount beneath the kayak or if you want the portability of not mounting it so you can transport to multiple kayaks, like me. Seems well built and sturdy. My only issue is it doesn't work for my Garmin. So I had to make it work by drilling holes. But still decent overall!
