It doesn't make sense why they would put the Red cable to the exposed metal part of the connector. I cannot use this without an adapter for a homemade battery or for coming out of my Solar Charge Controller as the Red wire is Hot. I guess you could always ignore the color of the wires and use it anyways.Also, the wire is very stiff, it doesn't want to bend, not flexible at all.

These are all the same, meaning they aren't pairs. It works just fine but on one side you will need to reverse the color coding to marry them to each other. Solid by for what I needed!

I used them to complete setting up a 12 volt power management system on my kayak and they fit flawlessly.The gauge of the wire was heavier than I expected and I am totally pleased with the quality as well as the low cost. I will absolutely be using these again as I am always building something that needs wiring.
