The spoons and knives work well. The serrations are on the sides, and are fairly sharp as far as grapefruit spoons go. The spoons are a decent size and do a good job of scooping out the grapefruit sections, although for the narrower sections you have to turn the spoon to get it to fit, but it still does a good job. They also have a tendency to rip out everything including the section walls, which is the only real negative. Everything comes packaged in individual plastic sleeves to minimize scratches, although some minor scratches were noted on some of the ones I received, likely during manufacture. However, it's going to happen to all of your cutlery eventually; the difference is no one sits there scrutinizing it.For the price, this is a pretty good deal. Whether you really need 15 grapefruit spoons, though, is another question. At least you know you won't run out!
