I found this carburetor on Amazon to put on my 20 horsepower Kawasaki. They want an almost 400 bucks for the carburetor at the dealer. I had an engine fire and it's been a lot of money into getting that fixed. The budget did not allow for the 400 bucks. This carburetor has done well for the amount of time I've had on it. And I will say about 800 hours so far.

John Deere X350 with the Kawasaki FS600V engine. Engine would turn over but wouldn't run unless you sprayed the carb with starter fluid. I had taken apart the factory carb for cleaning, boy was the bowl a nasty, rusty mess. After I put it back together , no matter what I tried, I couldn't get it to quit leaking gas where the solenoid screws into the bottom of the bowl. Found this one and it seems a perfect match. Bolted right up. The included gaskets are a nice touch. I didn't use anything else in the kit, but stashed them away for later. As has been mentioned, the idle needs to be adjusted - but you can look at your old one and get it pretty close by eye. Then just start your machine to idle and fine tune as needed. Don't be intimidated - it's really the only adjustment on the carburetor. I've used the machine twice since installation, and it runs like a new one! Amazing for the price.

On our 13 year old Cub Cadet the spring on the choke mechanism broke so the choke was closing by itself. We didn’t really want to spend $300 on a oem carburetor for a 13 year old mower so we decided to give this one a try. Besides, the factory carburetor had “China” stamped on it anyway. Bolted this one up and it works absolutely perfect so far. Will update if anything changes, but so far so good.

First of all, the throttle would not open more than 30% because the carb body physically blocked rhe throttle bracket. After grinding the carb body to allow the throttle to fully open I installed the carb and the mower ran terribly. Don't waste your time with this one.

The previous owner of my fairly new (less than 14 hours) said that he hadn’t used the Husqvarna Z242 in a couple of years after moving to a home with a tiny lawn. The carburetor was all gummed up, probably due to the ethanol gas that sat in it for so long so the mower wouldn’t run fro longer than 10 seconds. And, it had to sit overnight before it would start up again. Tried a rudimentary cleaning of the carb but that didn’t help. Replaced it with this Karbay carb and it started right up and now runs perfectly!
