I didn't put this in a drill. I needed this for a tubing notcher. The tubing notcher does not have its own chuck, it just has a place to screw in a chuck. This fit perfectly. This is a small, old tubing notcher. My newer one does not fit at chuck this small. This thing cost 10 bucks. For that price it has plenty of value for money. It is held up just fine holding my hole saws. I haven't had it slip. I haven't really had any problems with it at all. I do tighten it after every cut, but that's just common sense.

Product Reviewed: 1.5-10mm Capacity Key Drill Chuck 3/8", 3/8-24UNF Mount Impact Drill Driver Bits Quick Connect Conversion Adapter with 1/4" Hex Shank for $10TL;DR; Basic Chuck with Hex; Smooth enough with hint of grit; Easy adjustment by handI’ve added this chuck to my collection of tooling for a hobby/farm machine shop. This is a pretty basic keyed chuck. The screw base is RH thread and the provided locking screw is LH thread. I was able to turn this by hand fully and the key seems a good fit in the chuck. The shank appears to be std 1/4” hex but I didn’t try it for test fit in my driver yet. It does have the locking groove in the right location. There was a bit of a gritty feeling to this chuck and I’ve learned for economy tooling that a pass in parts cleaner in the ultrasonic cleaner is a pretty good idea.5 Stars and quite economicalHow I review:Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points.- 0 for value but I try to provide guidance-0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel-0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on executionI select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. Most of my reviews come out 4-5 range. If possible I dismantle or destroy items to examine inner workings.

Was a bit rough right out of the packaging but loosened up & has been consistently smooth since. As others have mentioned, I also found this can be operated as "keyless," just tightening the shaft down by hand is usually all the force needed for standard project needs. But also love that it *does* have a key, helps clamp the bit down as much as possible for things you might need a bit more torque for: concrete, brick etc.For under $10, I'd consider this a must have every DIYer toolbox!

This is a chuck with a 1/4” quick adapter that will fit standard impact driver quick chucks. The packaging is completely un branded and doesn’t even tell you where it was made or anything. That’s an immediate red flag. Good luck tracking them down if you need product support. The other problem is less with this tool and more with the design of most impact drivers. There’s no way to turn off the impact function of a lot of the major brands of impact drivers. That means you risk snapping standard drill bits that aren’t ment for an impact/hammer drill style application. If you’re planning to use this as a cheap way to get your impact gun to be a hammer drill you’ll want to get impact ready masonry bits.I’m generally not a huge fan of using tools for something they weren’t designed for so this will probably be collecting more dust on the shelf than making sawdust/concrete dust.

At first the jaws were rough, but the action quickly smoothed out, so I'm not going to lube it. It just needed to be broken-in. Everything seems square with the world.... The max drill size is 13/32" which corresponds to 10mm.The key is a pretty good fit. Sometimes keyless ones just can't grab tight enough, and keyed chucks are the way to go. Asking price was $9.99.

Awesome drill adapter. It's small enough to make a difference when working in tight spaces. On top of that, it's seriously build tough, the weight is super for the size. I think heavy-duty is the best term to describe this chuck. Best part though, this doesn't even need the key, it works perfectly fine keyless. I suppose the key can be used when hands get wet or slippery from the job, but I haven't needed it yet. Very worth it, and recommended. That's my take, hopefully it's helpful for your searches today. Thanks for taking your valuable time to reflect on my commentary.
