This seems like one of those designs that looked ok on paper but completely fails in practice. I don’t think this was field tested at all. I suppose if you want to use it just as a sleeve it would be fine, but the hood/shade is completely useless.- The hood uses magnets to attach its top to its sides that are far too weak and constantly pop loose.- Nothing secures the laptop to the sleeve other than two undersized loops at the top corners of the screen, so the laptop constantly slides around. This just exacerbates the whole weak magnet issue: causing the top come loose, fall, and block the laptop’s display.- even when working properly, the shape of the hood blocks visibility of about a square inch of each top corner of your laptop’s monitor.This seems like an embarrassingly shoddy product for the cost. It’s so disappointing compared to their stand-alone shades (that don’t also include a sleeve).

I liked that it had a case and my 14in MacBook Pro fit perfectly in it-even when zipped. The vegan leather was soft and nice quality. However, it just didn’t block out enough sunlight to reduce the glare even with the screen brightness maxed out. I wasn’t even sitting in direct sunlight. The other downside is the top cover was too heavy. The weight of the sun cover would pull the screen down if it was slightly tilted back. I’ll be returning it.

pleased with the quality of the product. does the job - only real complaint is that the elastic straps on the top corners, to attach the back to the monitor, come down pretty far on the screen, blocking the browser features, like minimize, close, etc so you have to either move them or turn the computer so you can see them. Other than that, it works. especially helpful when working outside to both block the sun and to protect the laptop when placed on metal tables that tend to absorb heat and cause the laptop to heat up

Definitely on the pricier end, but would recommend to anyone. Seems very sturdy and a great day to day case for my laptop, especially for traveling.

The product was not sturdy, is heavy for light computers, and overall defective. The magnets are not strong enough to hold the visor in place. The straps are too small so they don’t keep the computer in the case. I contacted the seller for help and they ignored me.
