Yes, it's cut out of steel plate. Yes, it's cheap. And yes, most people will only use it once. But I was amazed at how precise and nicely-machined it is. It has a small chamfer all the way around the edges to kill any burrs that developed during manufacture. The 1/2" receiver fit my torque wrench perfectly with no slop.If you're someone who has to torque one barrel nut, it will definitely get the job done. But if you're a smith or armorer and you've got to torque a hundred 1-5/16" barrel nuts, I don't think it will fail you.I'd buy this any day, over one of the cheap, chrome-plated, "drop forged" (cast) crow's feet that are about the same price.Don't skimp for a couple of dollars. Buy this one.

didn't chip or mar even with a lot of torque applied. great way to get a one time use deal out of this instead of buying a whole set you might only use a handful of times.

I needed to be able to remove a barrel nut on an AR-10 that needed a thin crow's foot and this was a perfect fit

This wrench is as tough as a railroad spike while still being thin enough to work on my applications. An 18" breaker bar has yet to cause it to spring out of dimensional tolerance.
