They will hold up a kayak but don't seem too sturdy.

Came with 2 sets and holds one 100 pound kayak each as described. Can't beat the price.

I use these to store spare lumber in the garage. They are very sturdy and hold lots of weight.

Thick walled tubes. I was worried that they would be to weak to hold my kayaks as they are very heavy. Not the case as these tubes are durable and up to the task.

These jumbo garage racks truly are jumbo and very sturdy. I can fit five folding chairs on one pair of racks. Storing several lawn chairs on a second and third pair as well as six bagged collapsible chairs on a fourth pair. Well worth the money at two pairs per set to get these up off of the floor and increase shed storage space. I don't know if it was necessary, but we did use longer screws than provided in the top holes to support all that weight, just in case.

I have 2 kayaks that I wanted to mount on the garage wall and bought these brackets while there was still house construction and finally got around to installing them over the weekend. The anchors aren't wort anything- get and use a stud finder. The screws also were too soft of a metal and I stripped the very first one using a drill. Screwing in these by hand is exceedingly hard, or was for me- since I have weakness in my hands and arms due to previous medical problems. I did manage to get all 4 hooks installed and when I put my kayaks on them nothing budged. A success. I scavenged a couple of screws I had from a different project to replace the couple of screws I stripped and was able to use the drill with no problem to screw them into the suds- my advice is to take what they send you to the hardware store and get yourself some better screws of the same length. It will save you a lot of frustration.

I bought these to replace some old one that had finally rotted away. There were offers from other sellers at a lower price, but I looked at the dimensions, and these were made out of 1" diameter steel, vs the 3/4" steel used by others. The holes lined up perfectly with the holes for the old hangers, and since there were 4 of them, I was able to hang a second kayak as well. Highly recommended. Decent price.
