We purchased this fan for our chicken coop in the summer heat. This keeps our hens nice and cool. We love the solar battery that keeps it charged all day.

The only reason for losing a star is I feel they're louder than they should be. Beyond that, i was very surprised at how powerful they are under full sun. Of course its going to lose power when its cloudy, but thats solar for ya!! Solid fan, every is sturdy and doesn't look cheaply made. My chickens are happy.

The 25W Monocrystalline Solar Panel (ASIN B0CZLRYNGF) from Blessny arrived with everything shown in the ad.Fan is relatively quiet, and setup couldn't be easier. Just be sure to install the panel so it points directly towards the noonday sun (in order to maximize solar ray uptake). Please note that the fan only functions when there is sufficient sunlight; these are not like most solar powered gadgets you pick up as those generally come with an imbedded rechargeable battery - these do not. No sun = no fan. No sun no fan isn't a deal breaker for me. Don't expect the fan to cool a large room. These are more effective in lightly circulating air rather than cooling. Think more along the lines of the flow coming from an air exchanger in your home - it's not designed to cool or warm you, rather, it's just to exchange the air. Full disclosure: I did not hook up/use both fans at the same time. Whether these will work for you depends entirely on your application.Hopefully the above provides some clarity and helps you with your purchasing decision.

We used this for an outhouse and it works great except at night or on really cloudy days.Pros:- Set-up is essentially plug and play- we have ours with a Southern exposure so it gets a lot of run time during the day and hasn't heated up or faltered- long cable run provided- run strong on full sun and move air well during maximum sun exposure- IP67 rating (but see below)Cons:- fairly noisy- no battery element or connection provided for option to add battery- will shut off at night or on very overcast days- power and in turn, venting will cycle with the sun so weak sun = weak venting- has IP67 rating but there are components that I ended up weather-proofing a step further myself because they wouldn't have lasted in our Northern Canadian Winters and SpringsOverall a pretty handy fan system that I am going to use for now but may swap out for a set up that I can supplement with a battery or I may modify this one to be able to use a battery with it. Works well to date and even without a battery it's a great back-up for power outages.

I had thought of two options for these fans. One use would be under a patio umbrella, just have the unit in the sun and have a bit of a breeze going. You get more than enough wire for this to work, but I don't know if the fans are quiet enough if you were looking for peace and quiet. The second use for us is the garage which gets really hot. I don't want to cut holes in the garage for ventilation, but it would just be nice if there was more circulation. I have these setup this way now. When the sun is out they happily run along and blow some air around.I can't say it made that big of a difference for our garage, but I'm really using the fan for something it's not designed to do and can't fault the product! I bet another set might help significantly. OR if I actually set it up as exhaust. What I might do next is set it up in our shed. There is a vent inside the shed so I can easily mount these in a venting position and have solar panel on the shed.If there was a battery, these would be really cool for sleeping in a tent while sleeping, but unfortunately, the fans are only on when there is sufficient sunlight. Again, not what they're designed for, so can't fault them for that!

For its intended purpose, it does seem to work well.The biggest advantage to this kit is that it's plug-and-play once mounted, and the generous cord length (with an on/off switch built-in) allows you to place the panel in an ideal location while the fans are where they need to be.As I mentioned, if you are using this as intended, that is, to provide ventilation and/or exhaust to a small enclosed area during the day, then it will work great.However, since it's solar-power only, with no option for power storage (using a battery), it becomes less useful at night, during the winter, or during poor weather. This limits how effective this can be, and may be a deal-breaker depending on your use case.I would have loved to have seen the option to connect a battery bank, as the included 25W panel is actually pretty decent for the size.At the time of this review, I see no price in the listing.

Didn’t realize this only works in direct sunlight and it does not store solar power. So the fan only comes on when the sun is shining directly on the panel. The airflow is nice when it is on

I purchased this to help my chickens deal with Florida heat. I have a small coop and run that is 3‘ x 10‘ for three chickens. They love it and sit right in front of it. It starts running the moment it’s plugged in. It has held up really well and great big rainstorms.. and it rains a lot here. I never take it inside or unplug it. When hurricane Helene fully submerged my lawn it stayed underwater for several hours so I did have to replace it. I tried a different brand that was more expensive and supposed to have more watts. I opened that one and at once knew it was a bad choice. It was flimsy quality and hardly ran. I immediately returned it and re-purchased this one.
