My kids REALLY like this chalk. We are avid chalkers and we go through boxes of it each year. I asked my kids to help write this review and to provide the pros and cons of this box.Pros👍Hard to break the chalk. We were able to push on the chalk pretty hard and we didn't break one stick. We normally break new sticks pretty easily.👍Lots of colors. There are 16 colors which can be overwhelming a bit because we are used to 5 that we draw with.👍The colors are really nice and bright, except for the grey but it's because we have grey sidewalks.Cons👎Dust feels a bit more sticky than the other chalks we have.👎Have to color harder for the chalk to stick.👎There are so many colors that it's hard to find the color I want.These are their opinions and to give you some background, we store our chalk in a reused animal cracker barrel. So we toss the chalk in there. From an environmentalist perspective, I am appreciative that there isn't plastic subpackaging. It's a big box of chalk sorted by color with a cardboard separator between the colors. Reuse some of your other single use plastics to help sort and store these if you don't want to store a big box of chalk.When we received this product, it was selling for $23.99 which breaks out to $0.15 per piece of chalk or $2.40 per "pack" of 16 colors. The price is a little higher than some other chalks out there so I would price this in the $19-$20 range when it would be on par with others.

This is such a great bargain! There is so much chalk included and it works great! The colors are vibrant and the chalk is large enough for small hands to hold. I haven't had issues with the chalk breaking. We have pulled this box out for parties and anytime we have a large group of kids over. Even the teenagers enjoy adding their creations to our walkway!This is the best deal I have found for high quality sidewalk chalk. Highly recommend!

My niblings really enjoy covering our driveway in chalk art and go through sidewalk chalk like nobody's business. So when I had the opportunity to get this box I jumped on it.This box of sidewalk chalk has provided, and will continue to provide, hours and hours of enjoyment and creative expression.The colors transfer very well to the concrete of our driveway, and sidewalk. The sticks are nice and thick. They're not soft and crumbly but rather dense and firm. No matter how thickly the chalk is layered it still washes away under the stream of a nose (quicker and easier with a nozzle set to jet)l.Breaking down the count into sets there's 10 sets of 16 colors. That comes to $2.40 per set.This is a very good purchase.

I do large scale chalk drawings as a hobby, and by that I mean up to 30 feet by 30 feet square. My driveway serves as the canvas. As you can imagine, one drawing takes a tremendous amount of chalk to complete so I'm always on the lookout for less expensive alternatives to the leading brand. Sixteen colors is plenty, and actually preferred. Every drawing requires compromises and I find that sixteen colors gives me just enough flexibility without hesitation trying to decide between two colors that really don't make a significant difference. Ten pieces of each color is a good amount. For the most part, the colors are fine. But the biggest weakness is that you don't get a true black. The darkest they have comes out gray, which makes this unsuitable for the kind of stuff I do, but perfectly acceptable if you are just trying to entertain your kids. Or if you are drawing on blacktop rather than concrete then the richness of the black pieces probably don't matter as much to you.

My kids love using chalk everywhere. This has been a great set because we often forget in the rain or one kid hogs a color. Plenty of chalk to go around with this set.

I got this chalk for my kids to use during summer the chalk does break if dropped on the concrete but the colors are bright.

These jumbo chalks are very nice and my toddler loves them. My toddler has an easy time using them and the color is bright and vibrant.
