Angled and messy trying to fill in automatic water and ice maker. Don’t give to child to fill unless you want to clean up a big mess. Would not recommend

My regular drinking glasses are curved so these beer glasses are perfect. I don't need them to br cold, just hold the beer and they do it very well. They are also thicker them my drinking glasses. The beige or cream cooler also works well for beer.

I recently received this set of "17.2oz Beer Glasses, 4 Packs Beer Mugs Freezer Ice Mugs, Large Craft Clear Beer Glasses & Lead-Free, Hot and Cold Glasses, for Parties and Gifts" because, frankly, all of the drinking glasses I've had for the past year or so are simply too small. Most are 12 oz or under, and I wanted MORE. When I saw this uniquely designed set of "freezer ice mugs" (which are quite obviously NOT mugs at all), I decided to chance it and placed the order. I'm mostly happy that I did.First, let me say something that I mentioned in the title of this review. The word "clear," when used to describe a product, generally indicates that there is no color applied to the item. In this particular case, the word "clear" is an inaccurate description as these glasses are definitely colored, albeit only slightly. These are very, very pale amber-colored glasses that are fully transparent. "Transparent" being the word that describes these glasses more accurately than the word "clear" because you can definitely see objects on the other side of the glass when peering through them. The viewed object may be somewhat obscured by the ribbed pattern in the glass, but the glass itself is still transparent. So basically, these glasses are NOT "clear." They are a set of ribbed, transparent, pale amber glasses.Second, I have to say that I have lived my whole life thinking an EMPTY glass could be kept in the freezer without any issues, but that any glass container with a liquid in it should not be placed in the freezer because the liquid's expansion when frozen would likely break the glass. Turns out I was mistaken on this notion, and really only tempered glass should be allowed to "freeze" (glass can't freeze, apparently - something else I didn't know until I did some side-quest research on this product). Most of the warnings against freezing a glass really relate to sudden temperature changes - pouring a non-cold liquid into the "frozen" glass can result in a sudden temperature shift that causes the glass to crack or break. So yeah. I learned a couple of things by ordering this set. And maybe you did too! Yay for us!/the_more_you_know_gifAnyway.So these glasses, with their pale amber hue and their unique, curved, cylindrical shape, are a nice addition to my glassware and I'm happy to finally have beverage containers large enough to use one of my electrolyte powder packets without having to split the packet into two separate servings! It's a very "first world problem" complaint, I know, but grrr.I have not decided if I am ok with the light amber tint that these have. I'm older and still associate the color yellow very strongly with tobacco stains. The pale amber color of these glasses is no exception, and had I realized they were tinted (they look pretty colorless when filled with yellow liquid) I may have held off on placing the order. I like the way the glasses feel when held and I like that they have a little bit of weight to them. I feel like this is a set that fits the mid-century modern design aesthetic, which I'm slowly incorporating into my own style, but I'm not 100% on that amber coloring since I have decades of negative association tied to that color. As I type this review, this set of four 17.2 oz. glasses is available for $21.99 (which includes a 31% discount off the regular $31.99 list price). The verbiage on the listing should probably be revised to more accurately describe the product, but as a whole I feel these glasses are a reasonable value. In all, I'm pretty happy to recommend these to anybody looking for stylish, affordable drinking glasses with a reasonable capacity. Doesn't hurt if that person also understands that "clear" can mean several things, but in this particular case the word means that these glasses are not completely colorless.
